Learn & Play - Twine
Interested in creating your own games for instruction and outreach, or hosting a game-making session for patrons or students? In this Learn & Play, Amber Sewell will introduce participants to the interactive storytelling game platform Twine, give examples of how this dynamic tool can be used for a variety of instruction and programming projects, and walk participants through designing, prototyping, and creating their own games in Twine. Participants will have access to a shared folder in Google Drive with additional resources and the ability to upload the games they’ve created to share with others.

Amber Sewell is a Teaching and Learning Librarian at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is interested in games and storytelling
for instruction, and how instructional design and creativity can create engaging and effective learning experiences. She incorporates gaming into her work whenever possible, including designing short games for classroom use, working on cyber or murder mystery events, and more. As a gamer herself, she is a big fan of board games, running a virtual cat café, and playing D&D whenever she can find a local group.
