I have heard that Plickers is like a free version of Clickers.

But I have never used Clickers.

Plickers are great. It is a clicker option where the teacher scans the room of papers icons held up by students.

I used plickers as an elementary teacher for test review rather than polling

Yes, @Nancy! The MOOC begins whenever you want to start. The 'begin' date is the date you create your account and sign-up for the MOOC.

@Steven, the challenge I've found with Menti is the character limitation -- I wanted to a poll using citations and there weren't enough characters to include the full citation. Is there a workaround (or was I doing something wrong)?

Hi @Nancy - the start dates are only there for motivation. Once you enroll you can take your time to complete. If you wait to enroll in the summer - that would work too.
