I have heard that Plickers is like a free version of Clickers.

43:53
But I have never used Clickers.

44:18
https://get.plickers.com/

44:41
Plickers are great. It is a clicker option where the teacher scans the room of papers icons held up by students.

44:58
I used plickers as an elementary teacher for test review rather than polling

If you would like to learn more about the Core Instructional Technologies Interest Group, please see our website: https://www.ala.org/core/member-center/interest-groups/instructional-technologies or our ALA Connect page: https://connect.ala.org/core/communities/community-home?CommunityKey=e9b4445c-48f0-47d1-9155-9613632afebd

I like Sli.do’s Q&A functionality to allow audience members to like or vote up a topic or question.

53:54
If anyone has questions for any of the presenters, please type those into the chat. Also, if you have suggestions for topics for future Instructional Technologies IG presentations, please send those to myself (breanne.kirsch@briarcliff.edu) or Melissa Johnson (majohnson@cox.smu.edu).

Thank you for attending the presentations today.

SUNY EmTechMooc: I see the MOOC begins Mar 10. Would I be able to take it this summer? Thanks!

58:52
Yes, @Nancy! The MOOC begins whenever you want to start. The 'begin' date is the date you create your account and sign-up for the MOOC.

59:02
@Steven, the challenge I've found with Menti is the character limitation -- I wanted to a poll using citations and there weren't enough characters to include the full citation. Is there a workaround (or was I doing something wrong)?

59:09
Hi @Nancy - the start dates are only there for motivation. Once you enroll you can take your time to complete. If you wait to enroll in the summer - that would work too.

59:32
Thanks Nicole and Robin!

01:00:06
Could you talk about anything you found about accessibility of the polls?

01:00:15
Thanks Beth for that point about char limits and citations!

01:00:31
Both excellent presentations, thanks to all!

01:00:45
Thank you!

01:00:50
@Beth - you can potentially create an image of the citation.

01:01:24
Thanks Steven. Vevox is a new tech tool that I was not familiar with. I have added it now as a new record on EmTechWIKI.

01:02:22
Thanks, Steven and Roberta!

01:02:35
Are there any questions from anyone else that I am missing?

01:03:13
Thank you!

01:03:57
I see the Emtech wiki has ratings of the different resources, does it include narrative reviews or use cases, etc.? Or just the up/down ratings?
