Libraries and Voter Engagement Webinar (banner)
Libraries and Voter Engagement in 2020 and Beyond
In 2016, according to the Census Bureau, 61.4% of the U.S. citizen voting-age population reported voting. For certain populations, such as young voters, that rate is well under 50%. What role can libraries play in helping to provide election information and increase citizen engagement in our electoral process?

Following a panel discussion ("Civic Duty: Libraries and the Disenfranchised") at the American Library Association 2020 Virtual Conference, GODORT is hosting a follow-up conversation on "Libraries and Voter Engagement in 2020 and Beyond." Join librarians and panelists from Democracy Works, VoteRiders, and abcVOTE for a discussion on how libraries of all types can engage their communities in election participation.
