Story Strong: Mind. Soul. Comics.
The University of South Florida’s School of Information Responsive Librarianship Lab (RLL) is partnering with a local library in the Tampa Bay community to provide the Story Strong Graphic Novel Virtual Book Club, a which aims to address teens’ and tweens’ mental health and wellness concerns through the delivery of personalized reader's advisory services, therapeutic reading materials, mental health literacy skills development, and wellness instruction.

This session will focus on describing ways in which responsive librarianship using graphic novels can promote mental health literacy for adolescent readers and will discuss how to understand how graphic novels programming can be adapted to a virtual format to reach teen participants.
