Copyright & Creativity for Ethical Digital Citizens (AASL CoP Presentation)
There is no doubt that copyright can be an intimidating concept in more ways than one. As educators and creators, we need to have a basic understanding for ourselves, but we also must be cognizant of helping students and teachers understand these concepts. Help is here! We will assist with providing practical ways to teach these concepts within your own curriculum. Learn about how you can adapt the FREE Copyright & Creativity for Ethical Digital Citizens curriculum in ways that work for your school. This is not going to be a session about what you can’t do because of copyright laws...but rather what you CAN do! Copyright gets a bad rap, but let’s flip the narrative and help our students understand that copyright exists to encourage them to be innovative creators in the digital world. Reimagine copyright in your library and beyond...it’s a necessary life skill, and it's up to us to teach it.

Copyright & Creativity was recognized by AASL as a Best Digital Tool for Teaching & Learning in 2022.
